Numerical Analysis of Plasma Flow over a Hypersonic Waverider
Numerical simulations are performed to understand the plasma flow physics over a hypersonic waverider at different flight Mach numbers and altitudes. Various CFD codes, including Loci/CHEM, Fluent and Kestrel, with Park’s chemical kinetics models will be used in this study to investigate the context of weakly ionized hypersonic flowfields. These numerical results will be compared with analytical and empirical models.
