NAWCAD Applied Aerodynamics and Store Separation use of HPC Resources

The Applied Aerodynamics and Store Separation branches at NAWCAD have increasingly utilized HPC resources over the last two decades. As modeling and simulation becomes ubiquitous in DoD acquisition, fielding, sustainment, and research activities, the demand for these resources is increasing as well. The brief will discuss the branches’ historical and projected future usage of HPC resources, present case studies, and describe challenges.
