Directions to UGM

UGM 2023 will be held at the Mallette Training Facility (MTF) on Aberdeen Proving Ground. MTF is located at 6008 Jayhawk Rd. Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005

From Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Airport or Washington, DC:

If you have a Federal Government CAC or ID Card:

Personnel who possess a Federal Government CAC or ID card may enter APG via the Rt. 22 Harford Gate or the Rt. 715 Maryland Gate.

If you do not have a Federal Government CAC or ID Card:

Take I-95 North through the Fort McHenry Tunnel.
Stay on I-95 North (approx. 40 miles) until you reach Exit 80 (Belcamp).
Take Exit 80 and bear right at the end of the ramp.
Immediately get into the left turn lane and turn left at the light onto Rt.7.
Follow Rt. 7 approximately 3-4 miles and go straight across Rt. 40.
Go about 1/2 mile and turn right at the first traffic light onto Rt. 715 (Maryland Blvd.).
Follow this to the APG Visitors gate.

Pay close attention to the speed limit. It is strictly enforced. It goes from 45 MHP down to 25 MPH as you near the APG gate.

At the visitor center, sign in and ask for a weekly pass, so that you don't have to get a new pass every day. To obtain a vehicle security pass, please be prepared to provide the following:

  • Your driver’s license
  • For personal vehicles: Your vehicle registration
  • For rental vehicles: Your rental agreement
  • Your proof of insurance

Please have these documents ready to present to streamline the check-in process.

After obtaining your vehicle security pass, you will then need to backtrack to MD 715 and proceed right toward the gate and on to the Mallette Center - Building 6008.
From Rt. 715 Maryland Gate, stay on Maryland Blvd to the second traffic light.
Turn right at traffic light onto Combat Drive.
Follow Combat Drive for about 1/2 mile and turn left onto Reconnaissance St.
The Mallette Center will be on your left.
