Electromagnetic and Acoustics Applications

The ability to accurately compute electromagnetic radiation and scattering is important to many US Navy applications. Accurate radar cross section (RCS) predictions under various ship and environmental conditions help inform design and operational constraints/vulnerabilities more efficiently in a cost-effective manner. This presentation will focus on the computational electromagnetics (CEM) tools used for RCS predictions, existing technology gaps and challenges, and ongoing efforts to meet future Navy needs.
