Presenter Updates

8/4/2025 - The abstract review and selection process has been completed, and all selected presenters have been notified of their selection. Selected presenters, please respond to your selection email to acknowledge that your commitment to present.

Presenter Guidelines

Thank you for presenting at UGM 2025! This all-virtual meeting will be held September 9-11 via Microsoft Teams. Now that selections are complete, please take note of the following guidelines in preparation for your presentation:

Step 1: Prepare your presentation.

  • Presentations must be in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Check presentations for readability of text and graphics.
  • Plan for a 25-minute presentation with about 3 minutes of Q&A.
  • You may embed video in your presentation, but audio is discouraged. We cannot guarantee that audio will be heard by the audience.

Step 2: Ensure that your presentation is marked in accordance with the DoD classification guide. Invalid markings will be rejected.

Presentations must be marked as Distribution A, C, or D. All presentations must contain compliant security markings. CUI presentations must have a CUI block. For issues related to document marking, please refer to the DoD Marking Guidance.

Presentations must not contain NOFORN information.

Step 3: Before submitting your presentation, please double-check that it is complete, accurate, and correctly marked. Our team will have limited time to handle corrections.

Step 4: Submit your presentation to ugm@hpc.mil via DoD SAFE as soon as possible. The deadline is August 22, but early submissions are encouraged, as this allows more time to address any issues that arise. Note that the UGM team will "drive" your slides during your presentation.

Step 5: Check your clothing choice and video background prior to UGM. Wear a shirt in a solid, non-white color while presenting. Patterned or white shirts can create visual distortion. Likewise, keep your background environment simple and well-lit.

Step 6: See the agenda for when and where your presentation is scheduled. Please be online and in the UGM Teams Meeting five minutes before your presentation begins.
